Experiences with Kratom

22 years of playing amateur football left me with a few injuries, but none were has painful as my left knee. Due to damaged cartilage and ligament damage in my early twenties I walk with a limp and need a cane for walks more than a few hundred yards.

I’ve tried to avoid opiates that hospitals give me and to be honest the pain is more “annoying” than “sore”. It’s not like I couldn’t cope without the pain, but my concern is this is something that was going to get worse, not better.

I’m unfortunately too young to consider a knee rebuild, doctors have suggested against it so looking into pain killers that will help when it just gets a bit too much has been something I looked at.

What are the options?

Searching the internet I came across many options from acupuncture and other witch craft bullshit which people claimed to help them… but one thing that kept coming up was Kratom.

Kratom is a plant from Asia, once considered rare and expensive psychoactive properties have made it popular (#PraiseDruggies).

Because of its popularity over the last 5-10 years it’s become a lot easier to get and a lot more understood. Depending on the strain you take you can expect anything from the plant helping you concentrate more, to pain relief and even euphoria.

Based on the research I discovered it was best I used Maeng Da Kratom powder for pain.

Over the next 14 days I will be documenting how I feel, taking the recommended dosage and sharing what happened.
